What should I prepare for after dental implant surgery?

- Avoid strenuous activities for 24-48 hours.
- Bite gently on gauze pads for about an hour.
- For the first 24 hours, apply ice packs to the outside of your face (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off) to minimize swelling.
- Avoid rinsing your mouth vigorously for the first 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, gently rinse with a saltwater solution several times daily, especially after meals.
- Stick to soft foods and liquids for the first few days.
- Take prescribed pain medication or OTC pain relievers as directed.
